Post Input Question: Should we Use Polls as a Rating System?  Reply with quote
I read Scottie's question in the Official: Merry Christmas Holiday Special Christmas 2007 thread ...

Scottie Wolfe wrote:
Has anyone used this token?  I'm curious as to how popular it is...

... And I wondered if it might be a good idea to attach a poll to each of the translated Token threads so that members can rate the tokens.

Such as poll options 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5:

1 = A complete SNAFU!
2 = Useable, but barely.
3 = Would work in the right circumstances.
4 = Pack it, we will need it.
5 = Must have at all costs.

What do the rest of you think? If it works, we could do this with Scenarios and Maps as well. This could quickly give those that have not utilized the print and play items an idea as to which are worth the time to print out ...

Let's do it, I say!

Hell, would also help ME decide what to implement in my games.

I think it is a good idea IF people voting the poll have actually played the item.

... and there's the rub. As I have never actually played Tannhäuser ... ever. I would love to have this as a reference and would refrain from voting myself. As the membership is currently low, I would believe the responses to be reputable. However as we, hopefully, grow the results may be skewed with irresponsible voting practices. Basically, getting the "Oh, that sounds cool!" or "I don't get it." votes

Well, we'll have to use the good ol' honor system for that.  Here's hoping people who join this board are looking to help improve it and not fill it with bull.

We'll have to specify that it's for people who have used it, plain n' simple.

Okay, I dropped a Poll into the Christmas Token Thread just to get the idea across. What can be done to improve ... the Format? the Question? the Answers? Once the format is set i will place into all of the Token threads.

I have had the Main Game, Yula and Wolf for about a year now, but I live in the middle of nowhere ... No one to play with. Hell, I've been thinking of opening a comic and game shop just to find players!
